About the Pen Name “Jo Bee Soo ”

Jo Bee Soo is the pen name under which the author writes. More than a pseudonym, it is the Korean and Hanja expression of the intellectual identity he calls Jobicurus.

The name Jobicurus brings together two figures who, though separated by culture and history, shared a common determination to seek truth. Job represents the courage to question inherited beliefs while remaining within the tension of faith. Epicurus represents the pursuit of understanding the world through its fundamental nature. Together, they symbolize a commitment to honest inquiry that welcomes both theological reflection and philosophical exploration.
